Advanced SpamAssassin Techniques
Using Procmail to Route Your Spam

You can configure your Procmail configuration file to do even more with Spam Assassin. The techniques below require you to manually edit your .procmailrc file via the Web Admin interface. These are more advanced techniques and MartNet cannot be held liable for any lost email resulting from misconfiguation. Don't worry, if you mess it up, you can just erase your .procmailrc file and create a new one by turning spam assassin off and then back on. Instructions for turning Spam Assassin on and off can be found here.

To make any of these changes, first log into your MartNet WebAdmin control panel and click "Procmail Mail Filter". Then click on "Manually edit configuration".

Bounce Spam back the sender instead of deleting them or saving them to a separate folder

In the manual editing page find these lines:

:0
* ^X-Spam-Status: Yes

erase those lines and the next line below them (Usually

mail/spam
or
/dev/null

Then copy and paste these lines in

{
